Update from Camp Quarantine – It’s rained every day in June. Apparently, it’s called “Junuary” or something, and it is quite confounding to these SoCal transplants. Steve’s recent observation – “I think we just live in a cloud.”
But we soldier on and adapt. We build fires… We eat by fire. Work by fire. Exercise by fire. Complete puzzles by fire. Fire all day, every day.
Our cord of wood, which we were told would last a local 3-months in the winter, lasted us exactly 45 days in the spring. We are cold, but cozy Californians.
Sun is finally in the forecast, though. Excited for the fireball to be in the sky instead of in our living room for a bit.
I love it here.
